We're here for life

Meet The Family

A small, highly successful family show breeder — not a business in disguise.

Karol Watson Todd walking through a grassy field with her red and black poodles

I am Karol Watson Todd, and our dogs share our home, our sofa and the chaos of our day to day life. We have a very small number of carefully planned litters each year (only 1 or 2 litters per year) so we can give every puppy and every family our full attention.

When you visit, you'll meet all of our boys, our girls, and possibly any puppies that are suitable for you and your family — exactly as it should be.

I am a RKC judge — judging poodles at confirmation shows in the UK — an advocate for responsible breeding practices, and have provided expert commentary for BBC radio. I am deeply committed to promoting responsible, ethical breeding practices and supporting owners in raising happy, well-adjusted dogs.

Through my work within the breeding community, I regularly advocate for the importance of:

  • careful breeding selection
  • early socialisation
  • and informed, committed ownership

These principles are at the heart of everything we do here.

We are:

  • 5★ Licensed Breeders
  • Kennel Club Assured Breeders
  • Mentor to new breeders
  • BBC Radio guest expert commentator
  • Above all, lifelong dog lovers

Our dogs are never kept in kennels — they are part of our family. They share our home, our sofas, and often our beds. Even our retired dogs stay with us for life.

Our miniature poodles enjoying the garden together

We breed on a very small, carefully planned scale, with each girl having no more than 2-3 litters in her lifetime.

I am also:

  • A qualified dog trainer
  • A Kennel Club judge
  • Currently studying canine behaviour
  • A trained groomer, microchip implanter, and canine first aider
  • Most recently, I've been invited to become one of the founding mentors for the Royal Kennel Club's upcoming Breeder Canine Midwife Programme, and to be involved in their breeder Insights Forum, helping to shape the future of the Kennel club.

Every 1 of my dogs is a loved, pampered pet first and foremost and a show dog second.

Our red miniatures are the heart of what we do — bred for that unmistakable rich coat, sound structure and the sweet, biddable temperament the breed is famous for.

Every coat is meticulously maintained by us at home, and grooming begins when puppies are around 2 weeks old with quiet clippers carefully passed over their faces and bodies. So our dogs are as comfortable being groomed and handled as they are playing in the garden.

Life here is properly mixed — puppies grow up around our other dogs, visitors and the everyday comings and goings of a busy family home, which builds the confident, unflappable temperaments we're known for.

Why Families Choose Karocolin Poodles

The difference is in the details you can't see in a photo.

Family-Raised From Day One

Every puppy is born and raised inside our home, gently handled, and exposed to the sounds and rhythms of family life.

Fully Health-Tested Parents

All of our dams and sires are DNA tested for breed-specific conditions before. We are proud to have DNA clear lines, throughout our breeding. Certificates are here to view when you visit.

Licensed & Council Inspected

We hold a current UK breeder's licence and welcome the regular standards inspections that come with it.

Lifetime Breeder Support

Your relationship with us doesn't end at collection — we're available for advice, questions, and updates for life. Frequently Asked

The questions every loving family asks.

Can't see your question? Ask us directly.

Are your puppies KC registered?+

Our Miniature Poodle puppies are Kennel Club registered, and endorsed not for breeding.

How long is the waiting list?+

Typically 3 to 9 months depending on your colour and gender preference. Joining my list is a process. After an initial chat on the phone, I will ask you to complete a questionnaire and then we will have a video call to get to know each other a little better, and to see my dogs over video call. Then if we all agree that we are a good fit you will be able to join the waiting list. This is by deposit and that will confirm you on my list. I will then contact you once I have a confirmed pregnancy.

How much do your puppies cost?+

Pricing varies by breed and is shared directly when we discuss your enquiry. We never compete on price — we compete on care.

Where are you based?+

We're a family home in Lincolnshire, UK. Viewings are by appointment at my home, when puppies are approx 6 weeks old. We also will run a private facebook group for each litter to allow you to follow their progress as they grow up.

Join The Waiting List

Reserve your place for our next litter.

Tell us a little about your family and what you're hoping for. No commitment, no pressure — just a thoughtful conversation about whether we're the right breeder for you.

By submitting you agree to be contacted about your puppy enquiry.
